I loved the reunion aspect of it and I liked getting into the Dominion stuff.
Given the budget, I would have leant into that and had Picard visit DS9 to revisit some old faces there too.
No Borg. God. Why Borg again?
I liked Spiner coming back. But we should have seen Laris at the end. She's been part of the story since the first episode and it's a huge thread left totally hanging as Laris is front and centre at the start of the season. At the beginning of the story, we see Picard set out on a journey. Narratively, we should see him come home at the end (there was a scene planned that was never filmed according to Stewart).
No need for any Enterprise other than the D. The E could have been mentioned as being around on active duty, but out of range or whatever. The G was a nothing burger that got thrown away and there's no need to have the Titan be the H. Titan is a cool name for a ship already.
Season 3. I liked it while I was watching it, then I went off it a bit as it all settled in my mind, but now I feel that on the whole it was pretty good.
