Re-Watching The Best Of TNG on DVD

Similitude

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
So I've been going through the seasons and re-watching some favorites and some episodes I haven't seen more then once.

So far I have done...

Chain of Command I&II
Relics
Parallels
Tapestry
Face Of The Enemy
Lower Decks
Unification I&II

I am thinking of doing Timescape and Cause & Effect tonight. Based on these selections, Would anyone care to recommend other episodes? I have seen them all obviously, but If I keep picking them on my own I won't really venture out from my all time favorites. I do own all 7 Seasons.

I will also post Mini Reviews of each episode I do watch. Feel free to contribute and rate/watch the episodes I am watching/watched.

Some obvious picks to keep you going:

11001001
The Inner Light
The Defector
Q Who?
Frame of Mind
Yesterday's Enterprise
Measure of a Man

anyone seen that best of tng dvd that's out? i looked at the other eps on there and asked myself if those were really the "best of tng." some people who see those might not be so impressed and think if that's the best of tng then it might not be worth to see the others. best of both worlds was a good addition to that, but not sure about the other two eps.

Oooooo The Defector is definitely up there.

Watched Cause and Effect tonight.

Loved it of course. I wonder which model they destroyed for this episode?

One thing that bothers me about this episode is how The Enterprise was able to figure out what was going on after 17 days, but in 80 years the Bozeman could not? I'm going to assume this is because of updated technologies and Data? Ah well, one minor quibble in an otherwise awesome episode.

Na, that's because the Bozeman only travelled to the future once and caused the Ent's time loop.
Only our crew repeated the same hours over and over.

Frankly, I think that picking just four episodes out of one hundred and seventy-eight (-ish, given that I could two hour episodes as two episodes and some don't) and calling them the 'best' of TNG is just a bad idea all around.

Agreed. I can think of about 10 terrific episodes from TNG right off the top of my head. Give me a minute and I can think of 50 more.

Watched The Wounded tonight.

Amazing episode, truly amazing. I forgot how great this was. Watching O'Brien trying to deal with his Cardassian issues was great and his scenes with Maxwell were a real treat.
