Re-use of Voyager

I see the similarities. I think it's actually a re-use (or pre-use?) of the arctic lander mesh from 'Regeneration.'

Wow, I never noticed that before. There is more than a passing resemblance, I have to agree.

I tell you, it's the arctic cruiser. It's not Voyager, or at the very least not just a retextured one. Maybe they used one for a basis of the arctic ship, and then in turn modified it for this one, but it's not just a re-textured Voyager, I promise you.

Don't make me get images, dang it.

Pretty compelling image at the top of the thread.

Saw it. I see the resemblance. I see why you would think it looks like Voyager. It's just not.

Here's Voyager.

Even if it was a Voyager mesh, the only original part would be the saucer unless they did some major pushing and pulling on the vertexes on... well, pretty much everything. Voyager's saucer is much bigger. That ship's nacelles are simpler and connected to smaller pylons, plus it has that 'hump' on it, and from what I can tell I think it's saucer tapers into the rear body relatively evenly.

It looks very similar to Voyager's shape.

Noticed that the first time I saw it

I'm inclined to agree with Praetor on this. The ship certainly does share some of the basic shapes used in Voyager's design, but it's not simply the same model with a few extra greeblies stuck on. The perspective in the image from the OP is a little misleading, because the angle happens to show the ship when it most resembles the Intrepid class model. But other scenes, like this one, show the nacelles and hull to be arranged differently.
