Re-Cast Trek with anyone you choose

I started a thread a couple of years back about re-casting TOS and people had fun with it, so I thought I would start a new one here and open it up. Any Trek, with any people in the roles, your choice. Anyone in history. You can even re-cast Porthos, as a different animal, a person, or whatever. Heck, re-cast a ship or the DS9 station as something else, if you choose. Feel free to mix and match Treks, too. I want this to be as fun and humorous as possible. Although, if you want to take it in a more serious direction, that's fine too. The only requirement is to enjoy! Post as many different times as you want, because it's not a contest.

I'm going to start out with a certain group from Georgia to re-cast TOS.

Here's the only recasting I can think of. One that almost happened:

Edward James Olmos as Kruge (ST III)

The story is, EJO and Christopher Lloyd both auditioned. There was some discussion between Nimoy and Harve Bennett. One wanted EJO, the other Lloyd (can't remember which).

The story is, EJO and Christopher Lloyd both auditioned. There was some discussion between Nimoy and Harve Bennett. One wanted EJO, the other Lloyd (can't remember which).

Nimoy wanted Olmos, really badly. He even promised him the role at his home. But Bennett thought he was too short and made him go through several studio auditions until he found an executive who agreed with him that Olmos wasn't good enough.

It was a pretty dramatic situation and Nimoy was angry about it for years. And I imagine Olmos too.

Lloyd got involved after this, and Nimoy fought for him as well, despite Bennett and Paramount's objection that he was a comedic actor with little movie experience.
