Seriously, though ... I thought the episode was a complete and utter mess. Whatever point or purpose there was to the story (or even if there was one to begin with) was buried under a wayward plot that was disjointed, ridiculously silly, and that relied way too heavily on Scotty being more gullible than George McFly (the clearly transparent Klingon ploy to lure the Enterprise away from the planet).

Ending with “Ooochie wooochie cooochie coo” doesn't help matters either.

Yeah, but “I’m a doctor not an escalator” and one of the series’s niftier redshirt deaths should pull it up to a D-, at least.
