Which of these statements is closer to the truth?

Just curious how paranoid we are on the whole around these parts.

I've read somewhere that if you select the first option, you might just qualify as paranoid.

I am not so shallow as to believe that people are actually out there conspiring against me. I am so shallow I actually believe the entire universe exists as a plot to make my life miserable.

My level of paranoia isn't just OFF the scale, it CRUSHES the scale.

And what's really sad is that I know what's wrong with me and I just can't shake it. I know in my MIND that the world is not out to get me, and that the smallest personal problem is not something to lose sleep over, but in my HEART I freak out over the most irrelevant crap you can think of. It's a hard habit to break.

To put it another way: I was moved to tears tonight over a CLOGGED SINK IN MY KITCHEN. Pathetic, innit?

There's a quote from Major Burns on "M*A*S*H" that's really fitting; it goes something like:

"I'm only paranoid because everybody's out to get me."

As for the statements, I believe that nobody is out to get me. Nobody is EVER out to get me.

I'm probably the most paranoid person I know. But I'm not as bad as I used to be, and I try not to take myself (or my paranoia) too seriously.
