Those are just great!! Thx for sharing them; I love the BTS photos from TOS.

I've seen photos of the location shoot for "Operation -- Annihilate!" before, though maybe not those particular photos. In any case, thanks for sharing them.

TRW Corporation was acquired by Northrop Grumman in 2002, and the big white building at the Redondo Beach complex where the episode was filmed now bears the Northrop Grumman logo.

Northrop Grumman at one time had a page on their website about the filming of "Operation -- Annihilate" at Space Park, including several photos. The first of your pics was one of them; the second might also have been, but I'm not 100% certain about that*. Unfortunately, the page was removed or made unavailable a few years back, and I haven't seen the content anywhere since.

* Edit: probably just the one photo - in this post, where I'd linked to the Northrop-Grumman page, I mention "one [shot] of filming in progress".

PICARD: What I didn't put in the report was that at the end he gave me a choice between a life of comfort or more torture. All I had to do was to say that I could see two pictures, when in fact, there was only one.
TROI: You didn't say it?
PICARD: No, no, but I was going to. I would have told him anything. Anything at all. But more than that, I believed that I could see two pictures.
Oops, a TNG reference in the TOS forum. I hope that doesn't cause the universe to implode or anything.

This got me motivated. Today I visited deneva. The last Saturday of the months the ham radio swap meet at Northrop Grumman . I grabbed my camera and went. I recreated all the camera set ups, took photos and then- during the last section - noticed a sign that said photography prohibited. Ironically the signs were located on the cafeteria of the facility. So my last few "then and now" we're a bit hasty. But it hasn't changed all that much in 45+ years. It was a lovely visit to deneva, albeit overcast.

Sorry feek61. I'm still a newbie to the bbs. Id post them if I could figure out how... (cue awkward silence). When I figure it out, I'll post "em
