Rare Photos - Part VI - The Final Voyage?

Frontier

Yes, friends, I've finally done it - Part 6 of the Rare Photos specials. It's been many months since the last edition - February saw Part 5, I believe - but it could not be helped. Time is the fire in which we burn, and oh boy have I been on fire! :p

Like the original feature films, Part VI will be 'the end' of the road... sort of. :p From now on, I'll be covering all the series and films in future rare photo specials. TOS will, of course, still be the bulk of content because more TOS content exists than anything else - but I feel it's important to share the fun of these specials and to share the materials I have from the other series. So Rare Photos Part VII will not be; rather it will be Rare Photos Beyond, Part I - or maybe something more catchy...

It's not the end, though. Just a transition. You folks will still get your fill of these rare materials. Your support here in this forum of the TrekBBs has been critical to my drive to do them. They've become a passion of mine, now. I can't tell you the money I've spent to obtain some of this stuff...  The future simply holds more variety in store.

Enjoy!!

EDIT: D'Oh! Link would be good... ;)

Minor correction - down at the bottom of the page, you've got the photos/captions swapped for the movie head shot of Chekov and the trio filming Plato's Stepchildren.

Fixed.

The last photo is also supposed to be from The Galileo Seven, but the "spear" is nowhere big enough for that episode.

Well I'm just going by what was written on the page with the photo so... :p

Wow. Great work as always, Frontier.

No, not quite. The captions are still backwards this morning.

Great stuff, Frontier! :D

Especially some of the candid shots -- I expect this one will probably get some humor mileage.

I'm glad you guys like this stuff. Makes it worth while. I hope you'll like the future specials, even though they will not be strictly TOS.

I did an inventory of what I have on my HD, and I've got 424 pics for stuff from all the series. That's plus the dozens or hundreds I've yet to scan. ;)

Oh my. That bird creature from The Cage used to strike fear into my heart as a little boy.

Am I technically bumping an old and dead thread for the sole purpose of pointing out THIS NEW THREAD which will lead you to the new format of Rare Trek Photos? Yes.

Does anyone care about such trivial technicalites? No.

:D

You know looking at those pics kind of saddens me in that De Kelley and Jimmy Doohan are gone and eventually others will be too. Kind of a bummer. In a weird way, I miss them - never knew them, met them never even seen them in person but yet they were so much a part of my life since my youth in the 60s.

EDIT: D'oh, sorry Frontier, major thanks for all the hard work, time and cash outlay in putting this together.

Oh, I missed this thread before -- thanks for bumping.

Turns out I actually own a copy of this one:

I got it with a bunch of free stuff with a Lincoln Enterprises order once, I think. There were a few film clips in there too, but I don't seem to have them anymore. Anyway, my copy doesn't have those scan lines across it.

I can see caption-contest possibilities in this one:

Kirk tries to fend off an approaching grup by using mime to convince him there's an invisible wall between them.
