Did anybody else love this episode??
It seemed like such a pivotal episode for Sisko kind of like Spock mindmelding with Vejur.
Sisko was always so Starfleet and saw the Prophets as wormhole aliens but he seemed so much more comfortable in his role as the Emissary after this episode. The Admiral was looking at him funny because of his obsession. Sisko was very laid back when Kassidy returned after her prison sentence and just whisked her away to Bajor to find Balhalla as if she had never been gone. And the look on Kai Wynn's face when Sisko barged into the meeting and insisted Bajor not join the Federation was priceless!! Her perceived rival was actually agreeing with her and made her start questioning herself and her beliefs.
The visions were great foreshadowing of the Dominion War. I also loved how Sisko and Kassidy getting back together in this episode (and eventrually married later in the series) was addressed later in "The Reckoning," another favorite of mine.
All in all, a great Sisko episode!!
