Rank Trek XI

Let's see, the movie's not coming out till a year from this Christmas, I have no idea yet whose going to be in it, or what it'll it be about, so kind of hard to rank.

The only thing I can predict for certain is that unless the circumstances of my life change radically in the next year, they'll probably make the price of ticket or two off of me.

I really don't get why they made Uhura a man. I mean seriously for that reason alone it sucked monkey shit!

I just ignored the character all together. Abrams is indeed on my poop list now.

But I did enjoy the cameos. Dr. Phil, Rosie and Hillary as Tellerites. Perfect!

1 = awful, an absolute disaster

10 = good

This is impossible to answer. Shouldn't even ask the question. We don't know anything about it.

Needed another option in the poll - Abstain.

Yeah...and the fact that she/he was played by David Hasselhoff was a really strange choice...

I thought John Travolta made a very convincing woman.

Yeah it was Tom Cruise as a straight man I found unconvincing.

Don't be so sure...after all Tom Cruise played the Enterprise after the ship transformed into a Human being. And, you know, the Enterprise is always referred to as female.

So that explains why he appeared to be in a drunken state as he passed the camera in that scene where he dropped his ear piece. I heard an audible crack after he chased the ear piece rolling under the captain's chair. That must have been one hell of a bruise he received.

So what did you guys think of that scene where Kirk and Spock had their shirts off while stuck in that Jeffries tube that was being phasered by that Klingon played by The Rock? There were some serious slash vibes going on there. I thought they were gonna make out at one point.

Y'know, I've had enough of the Kirk/Spock "slash" references in general.

Does EVERYONE in today's vast fictional landscape HAVE to be possibly homosexual?!

\S/

Yes. It is a requirement for any character in Science Fiction/Fantasy. ;)

Star Trek XI sucked so much ass. The space battles were very weak, not even the Klingons could save them. Zachary Quinto was great, but Paul Giamatti was horrible as Kirk. Why the fuck did they even cast him in that role? And what kind of a lazy title is "Star Trek: Live Long and Die Hard". I should have known better. I should have known the moment I saw the poster of Spock doing the Vulcan salute wrong (middle finger, ha ha ha ha ha! wow, that's so cool/funny/clever).

I'm becoming quite tired of it as well.

Wow, I'm suprised this thread has been allowed to live.
