Unfortunately, there isn't really enough of Boyce or Piper to properly rate them, though I liked Boyce from the little we saw of him.

If we are mentioning little seen doctors, wasn't Dr. M'Benga in a couple of TOS episodes?
And of course, there was Dr Chapel in TMP.

Doctor-wise, I think I would try to avoid all of them! They all spent far too much time for MY preferences, saying things like; 'there's nothing I can do,' 'I don't know,' 'it doesn't make any sense,' and of course 'He's dead Jim.' *grin*

Yeah, but that's really not their fault, since the majority of what they ran into was stuff which was unlike anything anyone had seen before. IMO it's a sign of just how good of doctors they were that they were always able to save the crew eventually.
