Spoilers Rank the first seasons...

Now that Discovery has finished its debut season, we can officially compare it to the others.

1. TOS - For the sheer number of excellent episodes (although of course, there are a few clangers)
2. DIS - Exciting, bold, creative, mature, and with such promise for the future.
3. DS9 - Not great but at least it had "Duet" and the best pilot episode of Trek.
4. VOY - TNG-lite.
5. TNG - Comical at times, but I tend to enjoy the genuine efforts to render space as strange, bizarre, lonely. Occasionally so bad it's good.
6. ENT - Just too stale.

TOS - It owns its originality.
Voyager - Delta Quadrant, no Federation. Thank you.
TNG - Terrible acting! But so so Star Trek.
Discovery -

I hope you don't mind, but I put a spoiler tag on this thread, as I imagine the discussion could get uh...lively and...specific. If you do mind, just let me know.

1. Discovery
2. Voyager
3. Star Trek
4. Enterprise
5. Deep Space Nine
6. The Next Generation

TOS - 29 episodes and IMO only 1 bad one in the bunch.
DS9 - solid if unremarkable for the most part, but it has a great pilot and ends with two classic episodes.
DSC - there were a few really good episodes and no absolute stinkers, but there was also a lot "good not great" throughout the season.
TAS - one bona fide classic, several entertaining episodes throughout.
VGR - good pilot and decent episodes throughout, but nothing really outstanding.
ENT - started off promising but quickly lost steam. Not many memorable episodes.
TNG - some pretty good episodes in the back half but the stinkers this season are among the worst Trek ever televised.

DS9
VOY
TNG
ENT

Having been ages since last seeing TOS I can't really rank it, and having not watched STD then it doesn't even register.

TOS
DSC
VOY
DS9
TNG

Yes, that's right. I put the first season of Voyager over the first season of DS9. VOY's first season had some high-concept ideas and a fun pilot, Seska added some tension, Tuvok (!) threw us a curveball while we're mentioning Seska, they worried about supplies, the Maquis had to be integrated, and they had "Eye of the Needle". DS9's first season had a great first two and last two hours but not that much to help it out in-between.

Not Ranked: ENT. I binged the entire show Christmas Week 2010. It's too much of a blur now, so it wouldn't be fair to rank it.

Reactions: pst
1. TOS (best season of TOS period - uneven of course, but with so many classics)
2. DS9 (could be meh at times, but only had a couple truly bad episodes, and like TOS, actually had some genuinely good episodes in the first season)
3. DIS (a mess with terrible writing, but it was at least generally entertaining in the moment)
4. ENT (boring, but had a couple of memorable episodes like The Andorian Incident and Shuttlepod One)
5. VOY (similar to ENT, but with less standout episodes)
6. TNG (just atrocious - even the "good" episodes are only mediocre)

TAS is unratable. I've seen the whole thing, and I can't bring myself to like or dislike any of the episodes really.

1. TOS - Front-loaded with classics
2. DSC - A clear vision. Knows what it's about. Can't say that about any other Trek series other than TOS.
3. DS9 - Because Duet and Emissary.
4. TAS - Plenty of great Trek stories here. Underrated.
5. ENT - Bright-eyed explorers. Thoroughly endearing.

6. TNG - Hot garbage.

???. VOY - Haven't seen it yet. Getting to it.

Since 1995?

I saw some of VOY when it came out and I was in HS/college, but thought it was kinda dumb compared to DS9. A few years back I started a "canon order" rewatch of all of Trek. I'm finally finishing off the last season of Voyager now. The show really doesn't engross me, so I've taken big breaks in the middle (including to watch all of Babylon 5).

LOL I was 7 and living in Japan.

VOY and DS9 are just series I hadn't encountered until last year. I was always a TOS/TNG guy and like a year and a half ago I started an "every series, every movie" marathon. I wrapped up DS9 about a month ago. I'm getting to it!!
