I don't read Fox News and I'm familiar with American history. The problem with DEI is that it's focused on "compensating for centuries of systemic racism and sexism" instead of dealing with the world as it is today where people are mostly treated equally. If there is a hiring bias toward white men (and I'm not convinced there is), it can't be solved by swinging the pendulum in the other direction. An individual white man trying to get a job is not responsible for any perceived injustices and doesn't deserve to be discriminated against.Suing doesn't mean you're right.
Read some history that wasn't approved by Fox News. Racism and sexism have been built into our national infrastructure since the beginning. Cis white men are still the "default" in hiring and admissions. We have a long way to go.
I went to a very multicultural primary school where there were children from all over the world, everyone was treated equally and nobody talked about race. Those are the values I grew up with and that's why I'm against DEI.
