Christmas has been good to me so far.

Had a customer in the store, late teenager or early twenties and the entire conversation he kept replying "Yes sir", "No sir".
While that is polite, I kept thinking to myself, "I'm not a 'Sir'. When did I become old enough to be a 'Sir'."

"Sir" is not a title that stems from age. It's used as a courtesy, to show respect. Age has nothing to do with it. You may address a 14 year old boy or an 80 year old man as "sir."

I visited Québec a few years back, so of course I was getting madame or Madame <LastName>.

Sure, I guess it's a bit sad I'm too old for mademoiselle, and I know that it's just the French equivalent to "ma'am" or "Mrs. <LastName>", but to my English-oriented brain, it just sounded so classy.
