Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Going to have a serious talk with the nursing home about my dad. My dad was put in a nursing home without a dementia ward, which I consider short sighted of my aunt. So I'm going to ask them how long it's doable to keep him there while he's declining
My condolences on your father's condition. We had a hard time finding a good place for my dad. After much haggling with the insurance company, we got him into an Alzheimer's care center near my Mom's house. Even with insurance, it cost a fortune.

"Who am I?"
"What is the meaning of it all?"
"Why?"

What is the point of questions that will never yield answers one is satisfied with? They are not born of curiosity, but of hunger for validation.
"Truth-seekers", "mystics", "sages"—
they do not search for knowledge, but clamor for recognition from a deaf universe.

We are starstuff which is beginning to know itself.

For your questions

I think I yam who I yam - Popeye Descartes

A bright thriving civilization or two with amazing beings has undoubtedly been destroyed when their Sun went nova via the end of the very processes which formed it 10 billion years earlier. The universe didn't care. It won't care when our Sun does the same. Our destiny is to become starstuff...again. That is your meaning.

Why? Blame The Big Bang.

You are a fluke of the universe. You have no right to be here. And whether you can hear it or not, the universe is laughing behind your back.

Connection.

I think Night Court put it best:
"Why do we live, Harry?"

"I don't know, Bull. But, I do know, as long as we are together we should hold on to each other as long as we can."

Thank you, it means a lot to me. Thankfully the nursing home does have a dementia ward so he can stay there. And I'm also grateful my aunt manages his finances, I wouldn't be able to pay it

I find that my mind is filled with a lot of indescribable emotions and vibes that stem from my Early Childhood. Not in a bad way, though it has shaped my outlook on life a lot. I know that I've changed a lot over the years and I think differently about things how I used to, but the process of how I think, why I think, and how I see things at a base level has always remained "built in" through the indescribable.
