Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I can't stand writers of online pieces who think they speak for anyone other than themselves and their little groupthink circle. Today I saw this headline in my Pocket feed: "We Need to Bring Back the Art of Communal Bathing." Excuse me, but who is this "we" you speak of? I don't want to bathe with someone I know, let alone a bunch of goddamn strangers.

Eeew.

My Mom informed me, that, thanks to an offhand comment I made regarding the choice of location for the reception, I have been uninvited to my niece's wedding in a couple of weeks.
Not that I'm too terribly upset about this sudden turn of events, because, according to Mom, my niece is turning into a Bridezilla and inviting and univiting people left and right; I was more upset with the fact that Mom told me that my niece and her fiance didn't want to invite me or her grandparents, period.

Nothing is made to last anymore. It is all disposable junk - made to break, to maximize the profit of unethical corporations. They got rid of the old construction techniques used in Appliances, Cars, and the list goes on. In the old way Appliances, Cars, Lawn Mowers, Light bulbs were constructed 20+ years ago, they lasted a lot longer and were easier to repair.

A lot of these "efficiency" claims are made up. There is nothing energy or cost saving about making cheaply made Washers only to have them last only a few years in a best case scenario. The old Washing Machines of decades gone by lasted a lot longer, cleaned clothes better, and were more reliable.
