Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Is the quality of donut shops really that much better to pay $3 per donut instead of $1.25 at your grocery store bakery department?

People think men never cry during a movie.

That's bullshit, of course. We guys most definitely DO cry during movies.

Of course, in our case it's Armageddon, but still. ;)

The final scene of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964), with the bittersweet reunion of the former lovers amid falling snow and Michel Legrand's swelling music, still makes me cry like a little girl.

I'm not gonna lie, I cry like a baby during the ending of the first Pokémon movie.

While driving in Hermosa Beach, I noticed that the street signs are tiny and hard to read, and many of them are only visible from one direction. It's almost as if they want outsiders to become lost -- so that the locals can waylay them and eat them.

I always say cheeseSTEAK when I mean cheeseCAKE (and the reverse).

Oh, and just in case you were wondering - and this applies to everyone reading this message, so don't even try to get out of it - No matter how hungry you think you are, you cannot eat more than two Philly cheesesteaks. Those suckers are bigger than your ARM.
A few years ago I found a brand of absolutely fantastic frozen cheestakes, and I will admit, they're one of the few things I miss since I went vegan. I haven't looked to see if anyone makes vegan cheestakes, but I might have to. There are plenty of plant based beefs and cheeses, so I'm assuming someone out there must have put some together to make a cheesesteak,
I do not recommend Cheesecake for breakfast. That is not good.

I'd say such things are good when they actually do their job.

I don't know, I think I would be willing to have cheesecake for breakfast.
I'm pretty sure I've had cheesecake for breakfast at least once or twice.

You know, I've been back riding a motorcycle, for part of the year, for just about a decade now. In that time, I've had 2 Kawasakis, totalling $4500. (Counting one resale) 1st had $600 engine repair, 2nd got $700 on new tires. (Man, those are expensive)

Each got maintenance, like oil, brakes, batteries, tags & inspection, totaling maybe $4000. Probably spent approx. $1200 on accessories. Subtract $300 per year in fuel savings... (I really can save that much in 7-8 months)

I've really only spent like $800 a year to ride. Max, $1000. That's cheaper than any of my other expenses. Plus it reduces milage on my jeep. I sneak thru traffic easier (safely) It's (a bit) better ecologically, & it's a fun hobby, as long as I don't get hurt.

So long as I'm a cautious driver (I really try to be) it's hard to find a reason to not ride one. It costs barely anything for me.
