Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

So there's this customer in my store who...appears to have no face! I'm like, where the fuck is this guy's FACE? All I see are eyes! :eek:

Turns out he was wearing a flesh-colored mask. :lol:

IGN updated one of their "how to watch so-and-so in order" articles. They removed the comment section.

And speaking of these kind of articles, earlier this year Gizmodo used AI to create a article about the chronological order of Star Wars movies and shows.... and it got it wrong.

My company tried to get me to accept a title bump instead of a pay raise. I refused. Kinda sounds like that, everyone got fancy new titles but in the same jobs.

For a while there when I was working at Wal-Mart there were more managers in charge of the department, than people actually working it in. We had two regular associates, and a department manager, a zone manager (they handle two or three departments), a assistant manager, a co-manager, and then the store manager.:eek:
And one of my biggest pet peeves was when I'd get two or three of them all wanting me to do different stuff at the same time. If I tried to tell them I was already doing something for one of the others they'd get pissed at me and tell me to just do it, and then if the first one came over and saw I wasn't doing what they wanted me to do, then they'd get pissed.

Yikes, that sucks. Something like that happened happened to me as well: I work at an assembly line for chocolate, day one zone manager 1 comes in and tells us the pace has to go faster, everybody complained. Day two different zone manager comes in and mercifully tells us to go slower, day three zone manager one comes back and tells me and my colleague who are sitting at the beginning at the assembly line to stop cutting the huge box all of the chocolate are in. But my colleague has back trouble so I cut the box very low so my colleague can get them without forcing her back

I am having occasion to reflect and wonder;

What would it be like to have a wisdom,
“…unclouded by habit, or bias…?”*

*Jean-Luc Picard, “Picard” Season 1, episode 8”

Some of this was relatable like the mall and hanging out, bumps and bruises as an 80s kid... Taking the day off school which was called wagging in Australia. Long, long bike rides into the city and beyond. Lots of fun.

While I was out on my bike ride a night or two ago, I ran into a family out horseback riding, well technically the mother, daughter and son were horseback riding, the dad was on a bike, and the daughter was riding a mustang. I love mustangs, and it's cool when I get to meet one, but at the same time it always brings out mixed feelings. I really think he should have been out in the wild where he was born and where he belongs, but now that he's not, I'm glad he at least appeared home and wasn't stuck in a BLM holding pen, which are just horrible. He seemed healthy, and the girl had to move him out of the way of a car, and turn to face me so I could pet, and she seemed to treat him well, she wasn't kicking the shit out of him or yanking his head around with reins real hard or anything like that. So it looked like he was lucky enough to end in a good home.
