Last year during Halloween, there was a group of kids knocking on homes with the porch light off in the neighborhood, then they'd wait, then they'd knock some more, then they'd wait, then they'd knock some more before finally moving onto the next house where they repeated the process.

After watching the movie Downsizing which was billed as a comedy I didn't laugh much.

But I did like the concept and wondered if that works in that world what a movie adaptation of Land Of The Giants would be like but turned toward horror more

I bought a Costco bag of Candy thinking we would have a lot of Trick or Treaters, we have only had 1 so far. The night is still young, but again, I don't like Halloween. Maybe I can donate this candy to the school.

So I've known for a while that Canada has some chocolate bars that the US doesn't have, like Coffee Crisp, Crispy Crunch, etc.

But I was today years old when I found out that apparently Caramilk is unique to Canada too?? Like, Americans don't have Caramilk? The classic "how do they get the soft, creamy caramel inside the Caramilk bar?" Caramilk?

Please tell me this isn't true. My brain cannot handle this information.

Downsizing is, without a doubt, the most boring movie I have ever seen. It is a BORE HOLE. There were way too many annoying Norwegian hippies, and not enough Hong Chau.

Christoph Waltz's character was sorta funny, though.

Only reason I saw the damn movie in the first place is that it is (partly) set in Omaha, where I live. But obviously very little of it was actually filmed there. Le sigh.

for example: When Matt Damon's character goes to get takeout food he goes to a restaurant called La Casa. I KNOW La Casa, it's right down the street from my store, my dad and I eat there every other week. But the interior sets don't even come close to matching what the place actually looks like.

I'm VERY picky about that sort of thing.

Oh, and Kristen Wiig's character is a total bitch. She agrees to get 'shrunk' along with her husband, but backs out at the last minute, leaving him stranded? Then she dumps him?

And I wasn't kidding about the Norwegian hippies. I was looking forward to all of them being shot. But alas it was not to be.
