Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Fun fact about Marathon Man:

There was an urban legend that, in preparation to shoot a scene where his character stays up all night, Dustin Hoffman (a determined method actor) actually stayed up all night for real, to which Sir Laurence supposedly replied "Oh, Dusty, why don't you try ACTING? It's much easier."

The real reason Dustin stayed up all night was because he was going through a divorce and was very depressed so he stayed out partying all night. Sir Laurence suggested acting as a way to beat the stress of it.
There is also the rest of what Olivier said that usually gets left out. He then laughed, rolled his eyes, and said "Who am I to talk?" referencing the times when he had done crazy things to get into roles.

Jeez, cruise ships are just getting ridiculous at this point.
It's like a reverse Hammerspace.
I've never heard that before, I like it. I always got kick out the easy, but still entire consistent with the rest of the franchise, way that the Star Trek: Elite Force games handled that issue. Each member of the team had a miniature transporter buffer on their belt and could just beam equipment and supplies in and out of it.
For a while now I've often wondered how animals' thought processes work, obviously since they don't talk it can't be in words the way ours are. What really gets me wondering is the moments where I see one of our dogs or one of the horses I see on my bikes rides, really take a second to stop what they're doing and consider something. I've watched my dogs get a toy stuck under a table or other furniture and literally take a step back and think about how they're going to get it out. With the horses a lot of times they'll be coming over to see and something else will catch their attention, and they'll stop and you can really think about whether or not they still want to come over to see me.
I would love to know what the process is for them in a situation like that, I guess it must just be images and feelings.

Do people not go to toy stores?

Perils of working with children I guess.

Of course people go to toy stores but some of us go for specific items and do not browse around.

BTW random fun video

Just barely missed a bit of excitement at the park where I take one of my breaks during my bike rides this morning. This afternoon my mom showed me a news story about a horseback rider having to be saved by paramedics just 15 or 20 minutes at most after I took my break there. I did see a group of about 4 or 5 younger women riding horses through the park as I was leaving, and from the pictures it look like the woman who had to be saved was in the same part of the park where I passed them, so it might have been one of them. I even almost stopped to ask if I could pet the horses, but I didn't feel like stopping at that point.

I have the TV on for noise while I work. Usually it's sports, but I turned into the Home Shopping Network and they were pitching a TV for like 30 minutes. I don't understand how anyone buys anything from this channel unless they have a shopping addiction or are easily persuaded by the people on the screen pitching the product.

It's like Globalshopdirect which we have here lots of stuff from the USA sold here, or what looks like American segments for stuff that people really don't need like a $59 bread box and a giant elastic band you put around your bed.. and triangle hangars to put on regular hangars so you can hang more clothes.
