Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Has anyone ever asked to cut in line in front of you at the store because they "only have a few items"? Comes across more like, "I can't wait for you but you can wait for me." Someone asked to do that and blew a gasket when I pointed to the empty self checkout that was four feet away. Even though this person checked out long before we did, he was still being snarky at us afterward.

He had gotten in line, then left -- I assume to check out the other lines -- then came back, then only asked to cut in line after half our items had been placed on the conveyor belt.

I don't remember if anyone's ever offered to let me go in front of them, but I will never ask to cut in front of someone.
I've offered to let people go in front of me, but I've never asked. Asking just seems weird and rude to me. If I was in a really huge hurry, and absolutely had to have the stuff and every single line in to check out was long, then I might, but I've run into that situation.
Oh, and here's a little life hack for you, if you're in Wal-Mart and all of the lines at the registers are long, you can also check out with regular items in electronics, sporting goods, and the garden center. I don't think a lot of people realize that, so there's rarely more than one or two people checking out at a time.

Michelle Yeoh is one of the many reasons that Tomorrow Never Dies is my favorite Bond film.

That said, I actually think Mirror Georgiou is kind of annoying. I’d much rather we get to see Prime Georgiou again. (Hey, just because L’Rell said they ate her, doesn’t mean they actually DID… ;) )

I didn't want to post this in the show's thread since I'm not caught up, but there's one big thing that's always bugged me with the two Quantum Leaps. Sam and Ben leap into these people's bodies, make these huge drastic changes to their lives, and then the person comes back into this new situation with no idea what the hell happened.

Good point.

Are you watching the reboot/continuation series?

Yeah, that's what brought back up for me.
I found out today that Taco Bell is introducing a fully vegan crunch wrap, with plant based meat, and non-dariry cheese and all of that! It's only in LA, NYC, and Chicago for now, but it's still a big step, and I'm gonna take hold out hope that it's popular enough that they expand it out nation wide.
I'm still made Panda Express stopped selling their vegan Orange Chicken, it was really good.

They do this in both versions of the show and I never really gave it that much thought but now that you mention it yes, now I do wonder how the person involved deals with it.

The new series does touch upon since Magic had been leapt into as well as the person future Ian had leapt into who drew Ian's face.

I’m in O’Hare International Airport right now and I just saw an ad for something called “The Joffrey Ballet”.

Hmmm. Now maybe I’m way off base here but a king that violent shouldn’t have a ballet named afer him, amirite? ;)

Oh ok I haven't kept up with the reboot series that much to be honest.

While the new series is mostly good, it vilifies the white male. I don’t get this move. I get having a diverse cast to tell more interesting stories. But I don’t get that the villain is always the white male. Lots of other diverse shows don’t use this troupe. Also, some episodes come across as after school specials. Not all of them. But enough that it’s frustrating.

Since ballets started in courts as pageantry and they could be named after their patrons it would not surprise me that he had a ballet commissioned and named after him.

Art is ultimately a long con. You have to convince someone that it’s valuable and obtain money from them. It’s amazing what people will pay lots of money to see or read.

Yes, yes it is. It's frustrating to me what people would rather have than money. Yes, I realize values vary but...sometimes I just shake my head.

And if you want to be in the arts, you really need rich parents to support you. A lot of actors come from money, so they have the safety net. The patrons have become the family.
