I was a tea drinker for a long time, I'd have the occasional cup of Earl Gray, yes inspired by Jean-Luc Picard, and for a long time I started every morning with a bottle of Snapple fruit tea, but I stopped a while back.

My family never put sweetener in our tea, and I was the only one who never drank tea at all, but now I have a Lipton's Diet Peach Tea nearly every morning. Tastes change.

Canada's got them beat. I think there are more Tim Hortonses in Canada than there are Starbuckses down here. I would not be at all surprised to find a Tim Hortons inside another TIm Hortons.

Sorry, this is incorrect. It's not even really close. Just Googling some numbers, it looks like there are almost 4.5 times the Starbucks locations in the US as there are Timmies locations in Canada. (Even if you take all the Timmies locations worldwide, there are still almost 3 times the Starbucks in the US alone.)

Now, if you are talking per capita, then yes: it looks like there are about 4.8 Starbucks per 100,000 Americans, versus 9.3 Tim Hortons per 100,000 Canadians, so not quite but almost double (-double ) the Timmies per capita.

(Tims has better coffee, BTW. Just gonna put that out there. )

Cool, every year I swear I'm going to go to that, but I still haven't made it.

My stopping wasn't about my tastes changing, I just didn't like that I was so hooked on the caffeine that I literally couldn't function without it. I still drink some caffeinated pop when we go to the movies, but I don't do it often enough to get hooked on it again.
