I just totally get a kick out of the fact that Sir Mixalot's "Baby Got Back" was not just one megahit song... thanks to Nicki Minaj, it's managed to be two.

Yes, the song did objectify women. But at least it attacked the fashion of the time, which presented borderline anorexia as ideal. I almost lost someone I cared about to that disorder.

I decided to take my next step towards becoming vegan yesterday, and I'm giving up sea food, which leaves me with dairy as my only animal product. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to convince myself to give it up though, I love ice cream, and cheese, and yogurt and all of that. I know how absolutely horrible the dairy industry is, but I just can't give them up.
I have tried some of the plant based cheeses, and I wasn't too impressed. And my biggest issue with trying to go with non-dairy ice cream is that it's all crazy expensive, so I end up paying more for a container a third the size of the same thing in dairy ice cream.

You could consider finding a dairy producer that isn't horrible.

Yeah, there's no such thing. The way the whole industry works, you can't produce dairy without it being a horrible experience for the cows.

Even so, I think pescatarian is about as far as I could go. Vegetarian maybe.

Can't help you with yogurt or cheese, but for me, sherbet is an OK substitute for ice cream. Fewer calories, too.
