Older family members and technology -- when my aunt got email, she had to forward everything she received. When my mom got a smart phone, she has to text everything she comes across.

It's Saturday... In my country, most people don't work on Saturdays.

Yeah, but in America when a Federal holiday falls on Saturday, for work purposes it is observed on the Friday. For example, Independence Day falls on a Sunday this year, so people get Monday off.

So if Juneteeth were a holiday you get off from work, you'd get it on Friday this year.

And I find it amusing that is the absolute first place most people's minds went when they heard the news.

Has a business denied employee bonuses because the money they saved on gas by working at home during the pandemic is like a bonus?

I drive once a week to a sister office that’s 75 miles away. I do get a mileage reimbursement check every quarter. When I wasn’t driving there I didn’t get the mileage reimbursement but I did save gas$ and wear and tear on the car.

I used to get a rather generous reimbursement for my driving... In fact, with it, I was able to buy a better car than the one I got the money with... I no longer work (I am retired) but I am told the people who hold my former position no longer get such generous expenses. Times change, not for the better sometimes.

Is beef jerky not meant to be eaten all at once? Those small 3 ounce bags, there's not a whole lot in there. Maybe a couple pieces require a few bites, but most of them are pretty tiny and there's not a whole lot in there to begin with.

Frequently in cold (but not freezing) weather, I'll see women (and it is mostly women) wearing bulky cold-weather jackets, but with shorts. They're bundled up against the cold from the waist up but their legs are bare. What's up with that?

Same here they wear beanies and thick coats to keep warm but shorts.... Like why even bother?

I see that a lot with people of every sex out here.
Is there a way to go back and watch an account's older stories on Instagram. One of the accounts I followed posted something on their story yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to watch it, and when I looked today it was gone.
