The Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing edition has been back in stock for a little bit now and appears to still be plentiful for anyone who wants one. I decided to check my region on Craigslist for scalpers and holy crap, a lot of them are still trying to ask for $400 for them.

the "fell from the sky" part got me thinking about a story i've heard ages ago about two
fishermen coming back to the owner of the boat claiming that several cows had fell from the sky
and punched holes in the boat on their way down and sinking it in the process....
of course, they got fired and dismissed as being drunk on the job and wrecking the fishingboat.
then come the news about a cargo-plane that flew over that area, when an error made
the cargodoors on the plane open in mid-flight, and they lost a bunch of cows hurdling down
to their death..... some of them DID hit the boat and sinking it.
crazy...

I heard the mystery sound again this morning, and now I'm less confident about what it is. I'm still pretty sure it's not a bird, but that's about it at this point.
I even tried watching some Youtube videos of mules, donkeys, and horses making sounds, and none of them sounded like what I heard.
It's kind of several short, high, sharp sounds, but that's about the best I can describe.
One thing that did stand out to me today, is that it was right about the same time I heard it last time. It's early in the morning, around 6:15 or 6:30, so I'm wondering if maybe it's someone happy to either get their breakfast or to be let out for the day.
I'm thinking I might hope on my bike and ride down where the sound is coming from so I can see if I can see who's making it, or maybe hear a bit more clearly.

No, it's not coyotes. It's not canine at all.
We actually did hear a hole bunch of coyotes gathering together a couple months ago while we were hiking and this sounded nothing like that.
Like I said in my other posts, the area it's coming from has a lot of big properties, so even if it isn't equine like I thought before, I'm thinking it's something on one of those properties. There is a rooster that I hear almost every morning, so some of the people over there have more than just horses.
My mom is better at this kind of thing than I am, so the next few times she has a day off I'm gonna have her come with me and see if we can hear it, and if she recognizes it.
