Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I dismantled an old bookcase in the living room and finally threw out some useless junk that was in storage. Definitely achieved something today and I was/am grateful for the help.

Did anybody pull a muscle reaching for the volume control when Kimberly Guilfoyle went ballistic last night? Scared the crap out of us and even my Shih-Tsu, Gus, reacted and you normally have to trip over him to get a reaction.

I just found a random receipt in my drawer. 10/18/2015, $4.00 for admission to Krohn Conservatory.

I google this, it's a plant sanctuary. It's not surprising that I was in Cincinnati at a time because the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships was there that year. But how did this receipt not only make it home, but also stay buried in my drawer for five years?!

Who remembers this Superbowl ad from about 15 years ago.

I don't remember the ad but I think I've seen Wile E, Coyote do that once or twice.

These decals are a 'thing' now....less anxiety over boo-boos. :bolian:

Can you just stop breathing until you die? Well, at any rate, the ones who succeded are not here to testify. If someone did succeed could a doctor prove it or would that be listed as a heart attack or something?

If you mean can someone hold their breath until they die? No. If you hold your breath long enough, you pass out. Then you start breathing again. You need something else to prevent you from breathing--something blocks your airway. And, yes, an autopsy would prove you died of asphyxia.

"they dont make em like this anymore"
is just false news.

I broke the glass on my phone, it was funktional for a few days
but then it wouldnt respond anymore so i bought a new one.

i was trying to go about pairing it with my wireless headphones,
but it just wouldnt connect/find them

Then...
i randomly clicked one of the buttons on my headphones and some music started to play...(?)
..i was still connected to the old one! aha... thats why.
so, i then tryed to turn of the old phone so that i could finish this...
BUT NONE OF THE DAMN BUTTONS WOULD WORK

in the old days(wasnt it just a few years ago) you could splitt the phone open and take out
the battery etc... not with this phone.

so i filled the sink with water and just plopped the phone right in there....
watching it while the music was playing in the headphones....
this would only take like 30 seconds before it died, under water with cracked glass...

but the 30 seconds turned to 4 or five minutes... music still playing... what the hell??
i got a pair of sissors and stabbed the damn thing repeatedly with full force while it was under water,
(i think i was screaming at the same time...i dont remember... )

it finaly died and now i can listen to music from my new phone,
but that old phone was resilient like it was made in the 50's when people was afraid of the atombomb.

I don't think so. Some people have been known to be able to do what other people couldn't. Like I heard that someone has been able to hold his breath for TWENTY TWO MINUTES!!! and live! Most people would have been long dead after twenty minutes, partially decomposed even!! So why couldn't someone be able to hold their breath indefinitely, the fact that it's not possible for most people is certainly not proof that that someone doesn't exist, now is it?

An autopsy would prove that someone died of asphyxia but would it prove that that someone died from voluntarily holding their breath? That's something completely different! ( If you don't know the answer you don't have to make something up).
