Hubby left this afternoon, saying he had things to do. While he was gone, I got an email from my credit card company, saying there is a $228 dollar charge on my card.

I had assumed he'd gone to buy mulch, since he spent all of last weekend digging up the old mulch. I thought, well, maybe he picked up a new tool, or pesticide or something else for the yard work, too.

Nope. He came back with a power-washer. Uh...OK.

My cheap-ass hubby who would only rent one when our Nazi-like HOA sends its yearly threat about our sidewalk or driveway, actually bought a pressure-washer. He's out right now , working on the front walk and garage.

The same man who yelled at me for using a paper towel ( "those costs money, you know!" ) just bought a pressure -washer on a whim. Either all my years of nagging him finally sunk in (doubt it) or the isolation has gotten to him and he just wanted something to do. ;)

I'm just happy that my garage and walkway look nice for the first time in years! I've been saying we should either get a machine or hire a service for years and cheap-ass hubby wouldn't even entertain the idea.

But he seemed very pleased about what he got done last night, so maybe he will keep doing it. I even asked for a try and he said it might be too hard for me to control -- yeah, that's bullshit but that's less work for me, so I don't care. He has a new toy now and seems to really like it. :)

April is Citizen Science month! Citizen scientists are people, both young and old, who help collect data for research projects. Zooniverse is just one of the citizen science platforms available. Since the pandemic has forced people to stay home, a lot of people have turned to such online projects. One project involves users classifying animals in images from wildlife camera surveys. Zooniverse alone has more than 100 active research projects in astronomy, biology, medicine, and even history.

Well, the snow has ended and for the next week at least the temps are supposed to be above 50⁰.
Yeah its great, and the sun rises earlier, i can work from start to finish without having a headlight on the helmet!

... and while talking about ads*: why haven't those 'a place for mom' ads been pulled by now? if anybody tries to get granny into a retirement home right now they'd probably be charged with conspiracy to commit murder
