Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Whether snow makes you feel cheerful depends entirely on how much you have to drive in your every day life. :)

When you have the day off, when it snows or you are a kid when ya' get a "snow-day" its bee-utiful.

It is also the time to take your kid--or yourself-- to the closest big ass parking- lot to teach 'em how to "turn" out of a skid. Doin' "Donuts" is fun. :luvlove: Let it snow, let it snow. :devil:

This is the first winter in years that I have had off street parking and a snowstorm didn’t mean I had to check the police Twitter to see if I had to move my car to a municipal lot, then in the morning dig my car out of the four foot snow bank created by the plows while trying hard not to be an ass and move any of the snow in the way of adjacent cars, which often meant carrying every shovel full behind the car.

So it’s all uphill from here. :)

I passed my test when it had snowed so I'm sort of used to it. - That said, in our neck of the woods, it's usually not that bad (despite complaints from some)
However, I'd recommend against going outdoor karting in snow. (Done it once, and way too cold:D)

Snow=The White Death.

Once it is predicted--by your local weather terrorists...err forecasters ;)--Quickly run to the store to buy bread, milk ünd bier. Over 70% of the time its bullshit, but at least you have the bier. :beer:

Also I’m a runner. I can run in the cold but running on snow or slippery ground is a problem. So snow means the dreadmill for my training.

Anyone else avoiding the Picard forum because they want to go in blind?

1 and a half inches of snow here today. Let's fire up the truck and go do some "donuts" :devil: Ye' hah!!!

that's an american thing. nobody does it here - wouldn't be allowed with our tierschutzgesetz (animal protection act) - the strange thing is that the nazis put it into existence
I suspect that's a legend. Dissecting frogs at school was allowed up to the 70s and ended only when all species were put under heavy protection. At universities or schools for lab techs they still get dissected :( Had to do it myself. Mice and rats, too :(

i'm born in '63 and neither i or any of my brothers did that (i went to school in bayern and baden-württemberg). universities and lab techs is sth completely different in my book. i once asked a friend of mine (student of medicine) to take apart a raw chicken - let's just say the result was strange. he took it apart as if he were in anatomy class.
