Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

would i have seen it in the first place? if i had a fixed wing in a window (that's what they are called here - our windows oben horizontally on hinges) i wouldn't stand behind the curtain staring out and searching for bird poop would i?

That means that when it's cold you never see the light of day, though. I don't think I'd like that.

I don't know but wouldn't all that bird poop accumulate after a few years and obscure the light?

hmm
hire someone and let them bother?
Most apartment buildings have a window cleaning crew, but they usually do the job like once or twice a year. What if your window gets dirty from a storm or bird poop not long after the window cleaning date has passed? Not much to do about it but wait until next cycle. Some people use a squeegee on a really long pole, but that presents challenges and if you drop it... danger to people below.
see - it seems to not getting that bad after all

i quoted him, right? your a few years are cut to one (max) - and if i have especially active birds i can still hire a professional, can't i?

Bird populations can vary tremendously by location. Some people may never see a bird at or near their windows, while others may see them daily. A relative of mine lived on the 28th floor of a 40 story apartment building in Manhattan. They had a small balcony, just barely large enough to have a small table for 2. Birds would come and peck away at flowers, poop on the railing, and occasionally made "bombing run" flybys that left poop on windows. Only the bottom windows would open, but they rolled up inside, so there was access to the outside--meaning half the time they could clean off the mess by hand easily. Other times it was nearly impossible. I also knew of someone who lived in a building where no windows opened and... they'd have to wait until spring for the cleaning crew.

If you have a nice view, a long term curtain drawn would be a big bummer... not to mention that it cuts out natural light. :shifty:

where's the problem to clean that one?

There was a poster I on the wall in a office years ago that stated that: people who don’t drink or smoke don’t live longer, it just feels like they do.

We've all known or heard of some cantankerous fellow in the neighborhood or in the extended family who nobody liked, who drank like a fish and smoked like a chimney, yet lived to be ninety-something. But I think that's the exception. It's better not to go down that road.

If our universe is just one universe among an infinite number of universes that make up the multiverse, is our multiverse just one of many multiverses in an infinite number of multiverses?

Where does it end?

It's neverending......
