Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I love being tired. I love sleeping. I wish I was tired more often. It’s the best feeling.

Two things I like about sleeping: a) the rejuvenated feeling you have when you first get up after a long night's sleep, and b) that feeling of going back to sleep after pressing the snooze button. Unfortunately, indulging in "b" kind of ruins "a". ;)

My body has mastered the art of doing that without actually achieving any kind of consciousness or realization first.

It's kind of distressing...

I don't know what it's about, but I've gone for a couple of hours hitting the snooze buttons without even breaking my dreams.

I'm better about waking up to my alarm now, but most mornings I would never even hear it, consciously.

My randomly thought. Is it just my imagination, or does screwtop wine not decant to the glass with the same satisfying tantalising glug as a good old cork bottle would?

@TribbleFeeder , @Avro Arrow , @Scribble -- there's a good solution for the snooze button addition. Move the alarm clock/phone out of reach! ;)

Actually what I do is I have my cellphone nearby (can easily "snooze" the alarm on with very little effort) but past the foot of my bed is an alarm clock radio. A good ol' reliable GE clock radio from the early 1990's. It has an interesting back-lit "reverse LCD" screen on it. Anyway, it has an excellent alarm. It also has "Grad-U-Wake", which starts the radio out low and gradually increases the loudness. Plus, you can do Radio+Buzzer. So after the first minute, if you don't respond to the radio, the buzzer goes off. Works well.

The buzzer is massively loud! So when I'm going to bed late and know I have to suffer deprived sleep, I set the buzzer. Because sometimes I'll be so tired I'll sleep through the radio.

Another thing you can do with your cell phone is to make your own progressive alarm on it. I used an audio editor and made one that starts out low and gets progressively louder. I also have a "pre-alarm", a soft music alarm that goes off first. Then 5 minutes later, a much louder one goes off. That works pretty well too. :)

It may have something to do with the shape of the bottle's rim. An interesting problem to put before a physicist. maybe someone in the science forum could make a few calculations?

My radio is set to come on at the top of the hour, and the news is on. Focusing on what's going on in the world usually gets me out of bed.

I’ve lost my direction and/or motivation, and I’m dissatisfied with part of my life. According to dream meaning websites. For the second time in a week I’ve dreamed I can’t find where I parked my car.

This last time though, I remembered I have an App for that, and I got there in the end. How will the dream experts interpret that?

Still, it’s better than the at work with my pants off dream I’ve been having a lot lately. Though a straw poll in the office revealed i’m by no means the only one.

I never know whether or not to read into my dreams.

Last night I dreamt I was a bartender at McDonald’s.

...And I couldn’t even make a Malibu bay breeze. I put Jameson in it.

I only look up recurring dreams. I’m having broken sleep and weird dreams at the mo. I find it interesting that there are similarities between our dreams though. Like how dreaming about being naked, only the dreamer is aware of the problem, other people in the dream don’t seem to notice. It’s a common theme.

Yeah, recurring dreams are always very interesting.

I’ve had dreams where I return the same place/setting, but I don’t know if that’s recurring or not?

I have this one recurring dream where I’m driving on a bridge and the bridge ends.
