Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I don't don't know why, but I'm in a nostalgic mood lately and have brought several books I read from my youth. Several are famous in Belgium but one is famous international: the very hungry caterpillar, it's nice te reread them as an adult, I find it comforting

One downside of driving a school bus instead of having a class of kids... you can't read to them anymore.

Maybe if they invent a self driving bus (they'll still need an adult on board).

Hired a cleaning service to do the bathrooms. The cost is a decent amount of money, but in my head it doesn't seem like a lot. Took almost two hours to do the master bathroom. The other bathrooms are much smaller and require less work, so we're talking around $70 per hour?

It takes my cleaning people about 2-1/2 hours to do my entire apartment and they charge me $100. The whole place is only about 500 square feet so it's mainly the kitchen and bathroom.

What is the purpose of energy drinks?
Had a couple of salespeople come into the store this afternoon with free samples of a new engery drink they were promoting.
I took a case as a courtesy, and, after they left, looked at the ingredients.
Do people really need that much caffine in their life?
I'd either be bouncing off the walls or having heart palpitations, neither of which is good.
I would blame Red Bull, but I think it goes father back than that, because I remember Surge and Jolt Cola, and those had sh*tloads of caffine as well.

Do any of those come with health warnings? I've never tried any of them myself.

^ It's insane, all right.

I'm opposed to socialism because I know where it leads. But capitalism needs to be regulated. Yes, it should still be possible to get rich. But we can't have people starving or losing basic health care so some dickhead with 1.5 billion dollars can have two billion.
