My porch light is always off, not just on Halloween.
Well ours don't work so it's the same for us.
I will confess that we don't pass out candy either, but that's mainly because the constant ringing doorbell used to drive our dogs nuts when we did, and it would also leave them super jumpy and paranoid for days afterwards.

First thought was Doctor Evil wanting 100 Billion Dollars.
We have a lot of Halloween Candy. We had some Trick Or Treaters, but I'm starting to think it's a dying thing. Don't need to buy a lot of candy next year.
I'm actually surprised that I had no trick or treaters at my door tonight. I suspect that they were all at the apartment office at the Halloween party.

I usually buy a bit more Halloween candy than I actually need to give out, because I like to have a little bit of leftovers. 
The amount we went through has been fairly steady the past number of years, maybe on a very slight decline over the years... until this year. We ended up having many more trick-or-treaters than usual, so I'm glad I had the extra candy, because we needed it. Ended up with just a few pieces of leftovers, nowhere near what I was expecting.
Of course, I'll account for that next year, and buy even more again... and the levels will drop back to what they were, leaving me with much more left over than I probably need!

Yeah next year I'm not going to buy as much Candy. We didn't have nearly the amount of Trick or Treaters as I thought we would. It also doesn't help that we've been waiting to have a working doorbell for the last few years (Part of the home remodel) and they still haven't done it yet.

Wish I brought more packets of Tim-tams when they were on special. Only brought one packet a few days ago - and decided on eating the last 4 biscuits that were in the packet.
Tim Tams are the best and you just reminded me I have to get some for myself
