Did anyone get an email from about a Class Action against Tubi? Below is what I got

NOTICE OF PROPOSED CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENTGregory v. Tubi, Inc., Case No. 2024-LA-0000209
(Circuit Court for the 17th Judicial Circuit, Winnebago County, Illinois)

YOU MAY BE ENTITLED TO A CASH PAYMENT FROM A CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT IF YOU USED THE TUBI VIDEO STREAMING SERVICE BETWEEN JUNE 23, 2021, AND AUGUST 26, 2024

A state court authorized this notice. You are not being sued. This is not a solicitation from a lawyer.

For more information, visit www.VideoStreamingSettlement.comPara una notificacion en Espanol, visitar www.VideoStreamingSettlement.com

This notice is to inform you that a proposed settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit between Tubi, Inc. (“Tubi”) and an individual who used the Tubi video streaming service. The lawsuit alleges that Tubi violated a federal law called the Video Privacy Protection Act (“VPPA”) when it allegedly disclosed the “personally identifiable information” (as defined in the VPPA) of Tubi users in connection with advertising allegedly targeted at those users. The case is Gregory v. Tubi, Inc., Case No. 2024-LA-0000209, currently pending in the Circuit Court for the 17th Judicial Circuit, Winnebago County, Illinois. The proposed Settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing by Tubi, and Tubi denies that it violated the law. The Court has not decided who is right or wrong. Rather, to avoid the time, expense, and uncertainty of litigation, the Parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit. The Settlement has been preliminarily approved by a court in Winnebago County, Illinois.
Why Am I Being Contacted? Our records indicate that you may have used the Tubi video streaming service during the relevant time period. Any user of the Tubi video streaming service at any time between June 23, 2021, and August 26, 2024, may be eligible to receive cash benefits from this Settlement.
What Does The Settlement Provide? If you’re eligible, you can file a claim to receive a cash payment. Each Settlement Class Member who submits a timely, valid Claim Form will receive an equal share of a $19,990,000 fund that Tubi has agreed to create, after the payment of settlement expenses, attorneys’ fees and expenses, and any service award for the named plaintiff in the litigation approved by the Court. The amount of such payment is unknown at this time and depends largely on the number of valid claims submitted.
How Do I Get My Payment? Just complete and verify the short and simple Claim Form online HERE, or you can visit www.VideoStreamingSettlement.com or download a Claim Form and submit it by mail. You can also email the settlement administrator at info@videostreamingsettlement.com to request an electronic or paper copy of the Claim Form to be sent to you. All Claim Forms must be submitted online or postmarked by November 28, 2024.
What are My Options? The only way to receive any payment from this settlement is to timely submit a valid Claim Form. You can also choose to do nothing, comment on or object to any of the settlement terms, or exclude yourself from the settlement. If you do nothing, you will not receive any money from the settlement and you will not be able to sue Tubi or certain related companies and individuals in a future lawsuit about the claims addressed in the settlement. If you exclude yourself, you won’t get a payment but you’ll keep your right to sue Tubi on the issues the settlement concerns. You must contact the settlement administrator by mail or e-mail to exclude yourself by October 31, 2024. You can also object to the settlement if you disagree with any of its terms. All objections must be received by October 31, 2024. Visit www.VideoStreamingSettlement.com for more information about your options and related deadlines.
Do I Have a Lawyer? Yes. The Court has appointed lawyers from the law firm McGuire Law, P.C. as “Class Counsel.” They represent you and other settlement class members. The lawyers will request to be paid from the total amount that Tubi paid into the settlement fund. You can hire your own lawyer, but you’ll need to pay that lawyer’s legal fees. The Court has also chosen Jacqueline Gregory—a class member like you—to represent the Settlement Class.
When Will the Court Approve the Settlement? The Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on December 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., before the Honorable Ronald A. Barch in Courtroom 426 of the Winnebago County Courthouse, 400 West State Street, Rockford, Illinois 61101 (Zoom ID: 848 2994 9543). The Court will hear objections, determine if the settlement is fair, made in good faith, and consider Class Counsel’s request for fees of up to 35% of the settlement fund, plus expenses, and a Service award to the Class Representative of $5,000. Class Counsel’s request will be available on the settlement website.

Tubi (Fox) apparently sold user info w/o consent. They settled the lawsuit and now, if you were ever a registered user of Tubi, you can get a whopping $19.99 back from the company, but you have to fill out their forms first.

That's what it's about.

And so far only USA residents can make claims

I bought some heavy plastic dishes specifically for feeding the foxes. Now there are two left from the intial four. I have rootled through the undergrowth, under the hedges and the woodpile to no avail.

What are the foxes DOING with them???

The Cybertruck was on display in the city here. It's bigger than I thought it would be and uglier in person.

On Sunday it's in the annual Bay to Birdwood car run

Maybe they're taking them home to the family, wherever it is foxes live that is haha

You might well laugh but, when I first started feeding the foxes, there was one occasion when I had to unjam the foil tray I was using (originally from a ready meal of some kind) from the entrance to the fox den. There were two neat tooth holes in the side and the tray was rather bent from the effort of trying to get it into the hole.

The foxes, incidentally, live at the bottom of the garden under the laurels.

I've seen them on the road here in L.A. That thing's got to be a joke, right? It looks like a homemade toy made by a six-year-old.

There’s a few of them rolling around Honolulu, including a hideous orange one, which I’ve nicknamed the ‘Cheddar Cheese Wedge’… :barf:

Regardless of color, it makes one do the Seinfeld Cringe every time it goes by.

Cheers,
-CM-

I don't like them, but they remind me of drawings I used to do as a kid for futuristic cars.

Only my version would probably have some kind of turret on the top with big guns.

A YouTube vid I watched, on "A Man Alone" ended with the question: "Does this mean Riker's a murderer?"

I went immediately to the comments, to respond (yes, and Pulaski's an accessory)... and found I had posted that exact thing a couple months earlier, then forgotten.

Has this ever happened to you? Happens to me a lot.

The Cybertruck reminds me a lot of when the Hummer was popular in the late 2000s early 20-teens. It looks big and "badass" but it's ugly and not very endearing and it probably drives badly too (Assuming).

It kinda looks like a mini Landmaster.

Yes, I also forget the plot of books that I know I've read, and can enjoy them all over again as if they were new. Being 71 isn't all bad...

Yes, it has. Things on message boards or comment sections don't stick in my brain that I've responded.
