Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

My favorite documentary was a theatrical motion picture: Apollo 11.

In fact it's one of my favorite movies of all time. I watch it two or three times PER WEEK. I love this movie that much!

There are still a lot of interesting documentaries on TV, most of that kind of stuff has just moved over to the cable channels like Discovery, History Channel, and Nat Geo.

Oh for sure.... I know. But I was lamenting when they were on prime time a lot more back then.

This probably fits in here but I was just musing about TV growing up in the mid 70s to 80s, early 90s and how it really did change a lot. I don't know if it was the same for most of you but I remember vividly the mid to late 70s TV was full of interesting stuff and we had documentaries on during the week in prime time and I used to watch them, nearly all of them and just eat that up like a sponge, then during the 80s and 90s it changed from being clever informative TV to things that were more dumbed down.

Maybe looking at this through rose tinted glasses but that's how I feel / felt thinking about this earlier today, and in a way I feel kind of sad for it.
I don't know. I guess I find it more in podcasts, or specialized channels now. I love that variety now.

Being online has definitely brought more variety and choice...I just I don't know going through a nostalgic phase you could say.

Speaking of which who remembers "Will it blend?"

I don't have hearing aids but just think of them as augments to help you, just like glasses.

Just think of the advantages of having the hearing aids:
  • You can tune out people/things you don't want to listen to.
  • You can pretend to turn them off and hear what people really say (maybe not a advantage...)
  • Repeatedly say "Huh?" as if you didn't hear or understand others, but really did. Repeat until they give up- very helpful for sales people or those talking politics you don't agree with.
Thanks for this. It made me smile. I really needed that. So far almost a week with them. So much to read and learn. But I think in time they will be okay.

I watched an Evan and Katelyn video where they made the worlds biggest laptop, or thereabouts. They are a funny pair.

Why would you think that? I mean isn't that the movie that got his career going?
