I'm watching the beginning of "Juno" right now where she takes the pregnancy tests, and it dawned on me...

Urine is weird.

Girls can pee on a stick, and it will tell them that they're pregnant. Why does urine even know these things?

So what random things in the world do you think are weird?

Hormones. It doesn't seem weird to me at all, but that's what I get for growing up around doctors.

It's weird to me that not everyone randomly sings and dances as much as I do. I'm not good at it, but I don't know how people don't want to dance all the time.

Hormones. It doesn't seem weird to me at all, but that's what I get for growing up around doctors.

I think it's weirder that we developed little magic sticks to detect these hormones by having girls pee on them.

Maybe we should make sticks that tell us other things besides whether or not we're pregnant when we pee on them. Screw medical tricorders, the Urea-examinator is all you need

Because Kings outrank Queens, and since she's the family line to rule, he has to rank beneath her.

But Queen Mary was married to King Philip of Spain so technically if Philip had been a King of Greece instead of A Prince of Greece he still could have married Elizabeth.

You mean the idea of taking shapes and symbols and forming fully cogent meanings from them? Yeah, odd how our brains work like that. How we were able to take a spoken tongue and make it work as a silent language.

It really is fascinating.
