I know this isn't Trek but I'm hoping that the forum (and RevdKathy, who I think is a fan) will indulge me.

Meredith Hollingworth pulled another couple of plates out of the box, and into the sideboard. It was just before 10 AM, and the removalists had just left, leaving her to the unpacking. Her husband David and daughter Sally were still at the old place cleaning up, and wouldn't arrive for another two days.
She looked out into the garden. So far it was very plain and uninspired... she wondered how long it would take to establish. Perhaps an ornament or two of some sort, she mused briefly, before turning back to the box. But she only barely lifted out another plate when the doorbell rang.
Curious, she put the plates back in the box, and went through to the entrance hall and opened the front door.
A tall man stood there, smiling broadly. He had spikey hair and wore a brown pin striped suit. A young black girl was with him, also slightly strangely dressed. She smiled as well. He had a box in his arms, full of wallpaper.
"Hello! I'm sorry, have we come at a bad time?"
Now Meredith was confused. "Um... well, not really. I'm sorry, who are you?"
"We're here to wallpaper your living room. Didn't they tell you?"The girl asked, brightly.
"No... It was painted, all the rooms were, but I didn't know anything about any wallpaper,"Meredith said. "I thougth all the decorators left about three weeks ago."
"I think this just slipped their mind... it won't take us long."
Meredith looked them up and down, still confused. They weren't dressed even remotely sensibly for putting up wallpaper... in fact they both looked completely out of place.
And yet, for some reason, Meredith didn't question them. Whoever they were, she trusted them both completely.
"Oh, alright, come through,"she said finally. The two of them smiled gratefully and followed her in.
After filling their wallpaper trough with water and glue, Meredith left them to it.
"I don't believe this,"Martha said finally once she was gone. "I feel horrible."
"Don't. We have to do this, and she won't know a thing about it, she'll be long gone by the time the wallpaper comes off,"The Doctor said. He pulled out a tin of paint and a small brush, and started painting his message on the wall.
Beware.
The weeping Angels.
Oh, and Duck.
No, really, Duck.

"Are you sure this is going to work?"Martha asked. They had just finished putting up the final bit of wallpaper.
"Well, I can't be sure, but from what we were told it will. Now, we wait."
"Where are the angels anyway? They're not out in the garden yet."
"No idea. They may not even be on Earth yet. Who knows, this woman and her family may have been their first victims... we'll never know, and even if we did there's not really anything we can do."
As The Doctor said this, Meredith came back in. "My, that looks wonderful. When is the rest being done?"She asked.
The Doctor and Martha both looked at each other, then The Doctor smiled. "This was just a free sample... if you want the rest done you'll need to contact the wallpaper shop,"he babbled.
"Oh,"Meredith said, slightly disappointed. "Well, I may just do that. Thank you very much,"She said, slightly confused.
"Goodbye!"Martha said airily, and they both got out as fast as they could.
