Rabbit Saves Woman and Child, Woman Leaves Rabbit in Burning Building

Re: Rabbit Saves Woman and Child, Woman Leaves Rabbit in Burning Build

It says the rabbit was left behind "in the confusion." It was a fire and could've killed them all, I can understand forgetting to grab the rabbit on the way out.

Yeah. It's a shame about the rabbit but it's understandable.

In the event of a fire it's always been my understanding you get all of the people out first and foremost, especially children. I think a rabbit that "saved her" is pretty low on that list of things to save.

If you're going to post depressing shit, at least don't put it all in the title. :(

Poor heroic little bunny. :(

You realize that, I'm sure, rabbits and animals in general are incapable of heroism or anything of that such.

I doubt when the rabbit realized the fire was raging its thoughts were "Fire! I better go wake up my owner!" and were more like "Fire! I better go wake up that person that can do things for me since I've no way to open the door myself!"

The rabbit didn't "save" this woman, it woke her up as part of its own survival instinct.

And what's with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyway?

Sorry, Kestra. I'll try to avoid it in the future.

Eh sorry, I've happened upon several depressing things here in a row lately and that sucks considering I come here for entertainment. Didn't mean to snap at you!

Re: Rabbit Saves Woman and Child, Woman Leaves Rabbit in Burning Build

^^ At least you didn't snap loud.

Poor heroic bunny indeed. It's certainly great news that the mother and child were saved, but this is very sad. I'm sure the mother feels terrible.

RIP, Bunny. :(

So, the rabbit died. You know what that means....

Man, you are a really positive person.

I'd say you'd be wrong, in general.
Animals are quite capable of heroism, their instinctual need to protect the leader of their family group is observable in nature.

I doubt when the rabbit realized the fire was raging its thoughts were "Fire! I better go wake up my owner!" and were more like "Fire! I better go wake up that person that can do things for me since I've no way to open the door myself!"
Of course not, but you knew this. So we both know things. This is good.

The rabbit didn't "save" this woman, it woke her up as part of its own survival instinct.
Indeed, it's survival instinct to wake it's family leader, to make it's leader aware of the imminent danger, depending upon that leader to save it and the rest of the family group. It died in that process. That is why it's sad, so if you'll excuse me;

Poor heroic little bunny. :(

In ST:Voyager, Captain Janeway likes to eat a food dish called 'Welsh rabbit'... :wtf:
