Spoilers R rated content - what does it add?

Shocking as this may be for you, I was looking to see how many thought similar to myself. I felt a question was a more diplomatic way of having the discussion, rather than making declarations, which tends to make people more combative. But you’ve just proven that there will always be someone waiting to give you shit no matter how diplomatic and non confrontational you try to be, so maybe I shouldn’t have bothered!

Nothing personal, just seemed a little disingenuous, that's all. "Let's ask a question . . . hey, why are all you people posting the wrong answer!"

For what it's worth, expecting some sort of consensus from Trekkies is a lost cause. We're a famously opinionated and argumentative bunch; we never agree on anything. :)

This is what baffles me about you selective outrage: for some reason you didn't turn off the TV when the Toclafane disembowled the reporter who caught on to the Master's false identity? She was screaming in agony for, like, five minutes. Hell, you didn't turn off the TV when the Doctor DELIBERATELY set off the volcano that destroyed Pompei? Capaldi was in that one too!

Your standards are arbitrary and weird, but somehow given what you've described about yourself this isn't really surprising.

"The skies are made of diamonds..."
And cities made of smoke. I think you need to read my posts you are busy responding to, stop making assumptions about me, and actually read what I said, and please, stop throwing in the insults, because they are coming from your mistaken assumptions and your own prejudices.

Well, as TOS teaches us, any time humans appear to be too well-behaved, watch out! There's probably an alien spore or insane computer behind it.

"I don't like it, Jim. None of these colonists swear, ever. I haven't heard one 'fuck' or 'shit' since we beamed down. There's something wrong here. It's not natural . . . ."

And let it be noted that the one instance we've seen had Tilly looking slightly embarrassed at her lapse, and her supervisor letting it slide because the three of them were having a moment.
I thought thought that he let it slide because he was the inventor of the thing and was chuffed that his work could get such a reaction from people. And he wanted to say it himself.;)

Hey, we all know how GR would have wanted it:

It's more relevant to show the evolution of the Ratings application to each show. It has nothing to do with enhancing story and everything to do with boundaries.
