Quite possibly the worse TNG...or Trek scene...ever...

Re: Quite possible the worse TNG...or Trek scene...ever...

I don't think it's so bad.

I think it probably takes a bit of guts to actually say that drugs can make you feel good. There probably was a time a TV show couldn't get away with saying that.

But then there is the down side.

It seems like truth to me.

And yeah, Tasha was the hot chick in Season 1. In 1987, she was a pleasing sight to my 16 year old eyes.

Yeah, butter face.

Please tell me you’re just joking around and not actually trolling. I’m getting a bit tired of some of the trolling going on around here lately.

I don't know. Wesley's "We're Starfleet, we don't lie" scene in Justice was worse.

Wesley’s comment was, well, somewhat in character for the naïve young lad, but still cringe worthy. Yar’s lecture to Wesley was bad writing and bad acting. I’d be surprised if Crosby wasn’t a tad embarrassed at having to deliver such lines.

uh.... Forbin was referring to Denise Crosby. Have you never heard "She's got a butter face - bangin' body, but 'er face...."

Re: Quite possible the worse TNG...or Trek scene...ever...

Almost as hamfisted and painful as the Bele/Lokai episode of TOS, but at least there was an entire episode constructed around that heavy-handed study of racism. This was just a standalone, cheesy and overly preachy discussion between two lead characters that came off sooooo wrong.

No, that's a new one on me. OK, sorry about that Forbin.

It was quite a good episode. Come on, is "he's black on the right side! I'm white on the right side" any more absurd than "he's black! We're white!"

Oh, come on now.

Admit it. You loved the ballhugger one-piece jumpsuits with the studded collars.

I agree - except for the Tasha thing. She never did anything for me. The only thing worse than Tasha was Troi in Encounter as she bumps and grinds her way towards Will on the bridge. Oh that hair and stilted walking...

Re: Quite possible the worse TNG...or Trek scene...ever...

It's definetly an "After School Special" moment. I don't think it the worst scene ever, though.
Also, I'm fairly sure that there are kickbacks from the government for anti drug messages.
