question about the movie "Rain Man"

I have a friend who I am helping out. His stepfather is abusive at least emotionally so, and his brother is 17 and autistic. So my friend has been coming over to get away from his house. I've been feeding my tape player with every movie I can think of. I want to show him Rain Man but I'm not sure if he'll want to see it..if its to close to home with an autistic brother

It's a very wonderful movie, I'm sure he'll be touched by it more than offended or bothered by it.

yeah i treied to tell him about it, but he seemed distant form the idea. its as if mentioning autism gives him pause. but i agree with you
