In one of the post finale DS9 books (Either Mission Gamma or WoDS9) there was a scene where Vaughn was talking to Ro and he said something along the lines of "I know what really happened at Garron II" I always assumed that was a tease, letting the reader know that eventually the books would finally tell the tale of the mission that led to Ro's disgrace prior to her first appearance on TNG. So I'm just wondering if I've missed any possible follow up to that remark, perhaps in a book I haven't read, or if that tale is still out there, waiting for the right story to put it in. Or just a throwaway line with no intention (I hope not).

Actually, the story's already been told. Mike Friedman told the story of Garon II in one of the specials from DC Comics.
^That's one version of that story, but that doesn't preclude the novels from doing another one. I think there's also a Strange New Worlds story telling a different version of Garon II.
