Q's return but Picard is different now.

I'm wondering what Q's reaction to Picard will be now that he is an android. Wasn't his fascination with him the fact that he was human? I'm not really a fan of what they did to Picard in the season finale and I'm hoping Q will turn him back into a human. How can Picard still be on trial for the crimes of humanity when he no longer is human?

From Q’s final words (until the new season) with Picard from All Good Things:

Q said:
You just don't get it, do you, Jean-Luc? The trial never ends. We wanted to see if you had the ability to expand your mind and your horizons. And for one brief moment, you did.

Picard said:
When I realised the paradox.

Q said:
Exactly. For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you had never considered. That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars and studying nebulae, but charting the unknowable possibilities of existence.

Maybe it’s because Picard’s horizons have expanded, and his existence has profoundly evolved, that Q decides to pay Picard another visit in Season 2 in the first place.

He's not an android. If anything, he's more of a clone of himself, still alive and subject to a mortal existence. The only thing different is that he no longer has Irumodic syndrome.
No hes an artificial being now.

Q could snap his fingers after the first 30 seconds of meeting Picard and turn him back to 100% human. But regardless, if Q thinks the current Picard is the same old Picard, then it's the same Picard.

I'm curious about Q's return in season 2 and his plans for Picard and his crew . It's going to be interesting to see if has a confrontation with Guinan and see fire works between him and Picard.
That's what I'm hoping to see. We haven't seen anything between them since "Deja Q". And that needs to be rectified.

Also, no Seven of Nine scenes with John DeLancie's Q in "Q2". Also something that needs to be rectified.

Well of course Q will say it's the same Picard...they wilm have him make some throway line about it. Just to make people feel better. Still doesnt changed the fact that the dialogue clearly specified he is a copy. (Dont ask me to quote it. I have done so a few times now from that episode.

I wish Q would snap his fingers and erase most of discovery...:guffaw:

The dialogue doesn’t specify he’s a copy.

There is literally no mention of the word “copy” in the dialogue in Et in Arcadia Ego Part 2 in reference to Picard, the only use of the word copy in the script at all refers to Data’s existence in the quantum simulation. They use the word “transfer” to describe his consciousness moving from his human body to his synth body before his brain functions ceased, and the primary definition of transfer is movement from one location to another, not a copy.

There is nothing to quote that states he’s a copy, that isn’t how it’s presented in the show, at all.

Haha...I know a synthetic.

Hey, remember how less than a month ago, the entirety of fucking Europe got so angry when Paramount told them that they'd have to wait until 2022 to see Season 4 of Discovery, and Paramount had to literally scramble to find a way so that they could watch it at a similar time as the US?

Also, remember how Kurtzman got a 25 million dollar extension to his contact, for five more years?

Also, remember the fact that we have four Star Trek shows currently airing, with a fifth soon to premiere?

That is how popular NuTrek is. A whole bunch of unhappy people can do nothing but whine and complain about it on forums and social media, but they're a tiny, powerless minority in comparison to the audience who, through sheer outrage, managed to scare Paramount enough that they rescheduled one of their flagship shows.

That was amazing for a show supposedly so despised.
