QMX badges for SNW - where are they?

I figured someone would know- what is the deal with QMX's production of Enterprise badges for SNW? I see them here and there, where they are marked up over what I'd expect. The command badge goes for about $40 shipped on ebay (you can get the services or sciences badges cheaper). But they all seem to be on the secondary market. Did QMX stop making them early on in production, or is it a supply chain thing, or what? Is there any news?

The existing QMX badges are the ones from Season 2 of Discovery, so they haven't been produced for a while (which is why you've only found them on the secondary market).

SNW's badges are slightly different, those now have a black outer border. Fansets.com currently sells them, both in pin and magnetic back form. I wouldn't be surprised if QMX eventually makes these as well, as they use the same mold, just finished differently.

Thanks for the info. I think I prefer the QMX finish over the fansets one, which is yellower (at least in their images).

I have both, the fansets version is indeed a yellower gold.

Interestingly, when comparing the QMx with the fansets Disco and SNW versions for you just now, I realized that the lower points of the gold portion of the delta have been rounded off for SNW (the Disco version of both fansets and QMx have sharp points).

Are the lower points of the badge more spread out on SNW than on DSC? I can't tell if I am imagining it or not.

They're the same. The QMx is about 4% smaller overall, however.
