In order to imagine a conflict between the Q continuum and the Borg, you have to first establish...
1: What would the Q want that the Borg has? (Answer: nothing)
2: What would the Borg want that the Q has? (Answer: since the Q are still a race of advanced individuals, and probably impossible to involuntarily assimilate, again, nothing.)
So the Q would gain nothing from fighting the Borg, and the Borg would not be able to gain anything from the Q because the Borg are primitives next to the Q, so there you have a perfect recipe for lasting peace.
The whole notion of a Q-vs-Borg war sounds too fanboyish anyway. It's like seeing Commodore Decker's "Planet Killer" cruising through space... and you look closer... and there's Trelane riding it like a horse! Yeah, neat-o...
