Puppies!

I dug this thread back up because today the litter turns one including my little Esme:

Hey Blab - how big did Esme turn out to be?

My female black pup is 9 months old, but only weighs about 49 lbs. She's still puppy sized, but has adult looking dog features, she's kind of a goof.

Normally this would be over the time limit for resurrecting a Thread, but since it's the Puppy's birthday, I deem it appropriate.

Happy Birthday, Esme.

She has to spend her birthday at the vet because she's been having trouble keeping anything down lately. But she's still pretty happy despite that.
I hope she's okay. Any idea what's wrong? :(

She probably ate something she wasn't supposed to, the story of all labs.

But she's good, healthy as a horse by the time she made it to the vet appointment. *Sigh* If I didn't know any better I'd swear she did it on purpose.

And Es is only 50 pounds and probably won't get any bigger. She's a tiny thing.

^Same goes for Beagles...well at least for the real Finn. He has eaten rocks, metals and even pieces of bone (pork, beef and chicken) that somehow got digested enough for me not to see any evidence when I took him out.

Happy birthday to your Lab :)

At least it wasn't chocolate which is the stunt my pups pulled on me this week.

Happy birthday to Esme! If there's anyone who should have a dog it's you. Those years you didn't have one seemed very unnatural. :)

Very glad your dog is feeling better! It probably IS a Lab thing, eating stuff they're not supposed to. The one my parents had a long time ago ate a rosebush. Literally, from the top all the way down to the ground, thorns and all. And all this without the slightest ill effect!

Surprisingly enough, when the rosebush recovered, it bloomed prettier than it ever had before!
