Psych

Does anyone else watch this show on USA? I've just recently started getting in to it and really like it. It's pretty rare for me that I find an hour long show that keeps my attention, but this one mixes comedy, action, and drama pretty well, so that hour goes by quickly. They have a solid website, with full episodes if anyone else was trying to get in to the series.

I enjoy the show quite a bit. It is kind of like Monk in that the mysteries aren't really the important thing, it is more about the personality quirks of the characters.

Lassie rules.

I use to watch it regularly but haven't of late. I did catch a terrific fun episode last week or weekend. It was kind of a Bollywood thing. I loved how they incorporated that aspect into the titles. It's a fun show and i should make more of an effort to catch it when it airs.

Psych is a very fun and smart show. It's really the one show that fits into USA's "Characters" bit.

I also like all the digs they're taking at The Mentalist this season.

It's nice that Lassie is finally getting some of the good lines. He played the straight man for too long.

Great show. The cast really plays off each other well and contributes to the humor in a unique way. I love all the little in-jokes and references.

Agreed. I've been watching the dhow from day one, and all the of those things really make it. The constant 80's references alone are golden.

Also, all of the actors just seemed to click off the bat. It seems like it would be a heck of a fun set to work on.

Yeah, I've been watching this for a couple seasons now, and it's pretty funny. I used to love how Monk and Psych were on the same nights, but with Monk having ended, they moved it. I miss the fact they didn't do a holiday special this year/season, it was something I looked forward to each December, Monk/Psych Holiday Special line up. There was just something about those episodes in particular... Maybe the fact they tended to focus more on the characters families or something (Did anyone catch the reference to the first one a couple weeks ago?'Dude...you put my parents in Jail...on Christmas). Overall though, funny show, I like the combo of action, humor, drama etc... and how Gus is like "Why are we going through this? How are we still alove"

I love Psych,I just wish we could of had a crossover with Monk before it ended,I guess there still could be one,but I doubt it.

I adore Psych. Fantastic series and, unlike Monk, all of the characters are totally likeable. Even the one who wasn't supposed to be (Lassie). Monk really went downhill for me when, after every time he was temporarily cured of his mental illness, he turned out to just be a total asshole. Couldn't sympathize with him at all after those episodes.

Me too. And the dynamic would be so easy to set up: Gus and Monk get along like two peas in a pod while Shawn chases after Natalie.

But I suppose now that Monk is over it might be easier to do as there wouldn't be any "whose sandbox" issues. All the Psych people would have to do is get Shalhoub and Howard; since Disher is in Jersey, Stanford is a non issue, and Levine really isn't necessary either (or maybe a quick phone call type thing.)

I've seen one episode (the episode with Dule Hill's hot onscreen girlfriend who is thought to have killed her friend on a river-rafting incident) and I thought the show was pretty funny.

From what I saw: The banter and relationship between the characters was interesting, the story was quick and tight.

I may catch additional episodes in the future.

I like it. It's a fun show. I like the in-jokes, 80's references, and slamming "The Mentalist" for basically copying their show.

Great show, though we've only had seasons 1 and 2 in the UK. Season 3 hasn't aired and season 2's DVD set hasn't appeared (even though it was slated to come out at Xmas)

What a wonderful show. This is one of those shows that you can tell that they're having a lot of fun while they're filming it. However I wish it were back on Friday nights.
I love the 80's flashbacks, especially Corbin Bernsen with his bad hairpiece.

I kind of like it, but I find the incredible immaturity of the characters running Psych (Gus and what's-his-name) to be really grating. Yes, I get that it's supposed to be a comedy, but the lack of realism in their frequent bouts of juvenalia when their lives are threatened (the episode where what's-his-name *had* to stop and ride the dolphin, in the middle of their trying to escape, was over the top -- if it had been a book, that would have been where I would have thrown it against the wall) drives me crazy and makes me want to punch the writers. And the characters.
