Prosthetic Leg

Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes, opinions and creative suggestions that were given in the thread. I had the talk with my parents about this last night, and it was a long talk. Basically I've decided to put this off for now. At the very least to conduct more research and seek out independent opinions than the ones I have done at this point. My parents don't think the procedure is necessary at the moment. We all agreed that eventually down the road, maybe five or six years, that it will be, but for now it's not something feasible to look at. They were glad that the fear equation is gone for me and if something does happen that accelerates requirement then that is something we will explore.

This isn't a cop out or anything like that. I was always going to be taking whatever step my parents felt I should take this is why I wanted to consult with them first about it. Basically I just came to the decision that I need something like this done just wasn't going to go about it right away.

I'm glad to hear that you've come to a decision that both you and your parents are comfortable with. :bolian:

I'm glad to hear you're going to continue your research and include independent opinions. That way when you do make a decision, you can rest easy (as much as possible) with it. :)

That's a reasonable course of action. Taking your time with the research and decision making is the best thing.

at the risk of breaking the thread's layout:
Tons of luck to you!!!
