I would have loved to see Al and Sam's first meeting. We never knew much about Al's career as an astronaut, or what exactly the hell "Project Star Bright" was, so there's prime storytelling opportunities there...

That was my first thought after I saw the finale with the bartender who was maybe God. If God had good Leapers, then it would make sense for the Devil to have evil ones.
I understand it really wasn't what the show was about, but I wish they had gotten a chance to deal a bit more with the mythology behind the evil Leapers and then the whole thing with maybe God.

Maybe Al the bartender is Captain Braxton from that Voyager episode?

Yeah, I know it's the same actor (Bruce McGill) but who knows, it could be the same character as well.

Perhaps Braxton, after his trial, is offered the time period of his choice to retire to. He chooses the early 1950's, and builds the bar. Since Braxton himself is no longer allowed to travel in time, he can help others to do so.

Speaking of the bar: Correct me if I'm wrong, but pretty much everybody in the bar is a Leaper, amirite? Stawpah obviously is one, and lots of the other miners are as well, since we see different people when they are in front of the mirror.
