You won't have too much longer to wait. Our next production should be out in January or February!
Invidious.
?????
Finally back with a chance to sit for a minute and the reaction to this vignette.
Since I play Cmdr. Delaney, I am interested in the reaction to his portrayal. Where can I I prove, what did I do well, etc. I will be the first to say that I did not like my job here. Having seen this before most everyone else, I saw what I didn't like and, hopefully, modified my performance for "Archway." With any luck you will see a steady progression this season.
In your critiques, I would greatly appreciate it if you gave examples of what to do or avoid. For example, give me an episode or movie (doesn't have to be Trek) and what the character did that was right or wrong.
One thing I noticed further up thread was that someone thought Delaney was being played as the "mellow" character. That is interesting to me simply because I am not a mellow person so I must have channelled that from somewhere. He is more the quiet type, gruff, who will slowly let people into his circle and will protect them to the end once they have entered the circle.
What about the character was mellow? How can I move more to the description above?
Thanks for the comments. The first thing I thought of when I heard Paul Newman was "Cool Hand Luke." Tought act to follow there.
The sales analogy was also insightful. Very interesting. Thank you all again.
