Programming, Coding, etc

^Hehe, I remember adapting a basic version of Hunt the Wumpus printed in Byte to run on my TI-99. Lots of typing. crappy game.

I made some pretty decent games on my old TI-81 back in the day. One of them was "Space Dice," where you played a dice-based game against some aliens in a spaceport, basically betting whether your roll would be higher or lower than your opponent's. It supported dice of arbitrary sizes (3 up to 100). Your "goal," such as it was, was to make enough money to buy a new ship and leave the spaceport--or lose everything and be stranded there. :p

I wish I still had it.

One of my favorite games was "Star Traders", an immensely long BASIC game that I converted to S-Basic (a compiled basic) for my Kaypro-II. I still miss that computer.

The Kaypro-II had that awesome 70's NASA retro look to it. I'd love to get hold of one just as a presentation piece.

That'd make a fun case mod for a modern machine. A transportable computer with the power of a desktop!
